Power Levels

  • Level 1: TOW; This is meant to be your clean/crispy daily tune and tow with confidence. Usually a 30-50 RWHP gain on a 100% stock truck.
  • Level 2: STREET; This is another good option for a daily tune, however we would shy away from towing with this on. Typically shows a 80-100 RWHP gain on a 100% stock truck.
  • Level 3: LEMONS; Appropriately named, the “LEMONS” are known as the file that “squeezes” all of the HP out of your 5.9 Cummins. This is your MAX EFFORT tune. Using this tune with a stock transmission is NOT recommended and is well known to burn up stock units under heavy acceleration. Typical HP gains are an avg of 140-180 RWHP depending on the truck. That is a potential of 500+ HP out of your 5.9 Cummins powered Ram!

Requirements

  • Windows Based Laptop/Computer that can reach your truck (Apple Mac will NOT work!)
  • Download HPTuners VCM Suite & Install on computer (LINK DOWNLOAD HERE)
  • MPVI Device; Can be either MPVI, MPVI2, or MPVI3.
  • 2 Universal Credits

How does this process work?

First, get a list together of all modifications done to your truck. This includes, (but not limited to) any modifications done to the turbocharger(s), fueling, type of transmission, type of twin pump controller/splitter, rail pressure sensor details, map sensor (stock or aftermarket) and/or any specific CELs (check engine lights) that will need to be removed/disabled due to modifications (I.E. Removed grid heater). After this information is gathered, come on over to the website and fill in the blanks!

**IMPORTANT:
If you have a MPVI device, please pull a basefile and attach it above; MAKE SURE you also fill out the serial to the device as we cannot write the file without this!
If you do NOT have a MPVI device, you will need one. If you choose to buy one from us, it will ship without a file installed on it. You will need to pull a base file and email us the file and the serial from the device that was used.

The basefile is the file that is used from your specific truck that the tune file is written from! Also, processing time will begin at the moment a basefile is emailed to us. If you sent in a base file with your order, then the processing time starts then. Standard processing time from receiving your base file is 5-10 business days.

After receiving your file, use your PC and VCM Suite and upload the desired file into your MPVI device and flash the truck. After it is finished, attempt to start the truck. As long as it starts, the tune was successful! Congrats! You are ready to rip!
